Our 4th day on Maui

Molokini For our fourth day on Maui we planned a snorkling trip to Molokini. It is a small islet. Scientists at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory believe that Molokini, whose summit rises about 160 feet above sea level, last erupted about 230,000 years ago. It is a crescent moon-shaped islet located less than three miles off Maui’s southern coast. So we took a charter boat out there to see the sea life. It was still whale season, so we were hoping that we would see some and we did! We actually saw quite a few. Many of the Humpback Whales we saw were babies. The whales travel down here in the winter months to mate and give birth! Anyway we had a great time even though the water was pretty cold. After the boat ride, the kids wanted to go back to the hotel to go swimming, so we did that as well. For dinner we went to Bubba Gump's! It was a full fun packed day.

They had this cool little raft thing for Lil Wil to get on and look down into the water. He was able to see fish! He said the water was too cold to get in.

Big Wil under the sea!
Below are fish that we spotted while snorkiling!

The Captain shared his duties and let William drive the boat for a little while!! Wil loved it.

Amazing underwater shots. Do you have an underwater camera or one of those waterproof covers for you normal camera?
