Patrick was invited back to Helemano to participate in the 5th Grade moving up ceremony. At his new school he will not start middle school til 7th grade. If he would have stayed at Helemano he would have started middle school next year. Anyway he received several awards today. One very cool award he received is the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. Patrick's test scores in Math and reading were way above the standards for the school and state. We are so proud of him. He also received a metal for this!! Above is the video of him receiving them. Below is video of the whole 5th grade singing a class song!!! It was too cute.
Patrick also received a lei for being on the JPO squad for 2 years. That was followed by a plaque that reads Helemano Elementary School JPO Lieutenant Patrick Filler. It's pretty cool!
Here Patrick is receiving his certificate for gradating the 5th grade. The Principal is the one handing it to him!!!It was an exciting time! I will take more pictures and post them soon!
