We checked out of our cabin and set out for some sights. Our first stop was on the highway. Mom wanted to take pictures of a horse and a donkey (dunkey to her). They were just hanging out on the side of the road. Not quite sure why. I think they may have been tied up there. Back in the car we set out to a small town called Hanapepe, apparently they filmed some of the Thorn Birds movie here. We then set out for the spot that Captain Cook landed at, but could not find that. Instead we found a black sands beach. And black it was. It looked dirty. The sand on Kauai seemed a lot finner than the sand on Oahu, Maui and The Big Island. It was a pain to get all of it out of Lil Wil's hair. I tried for about 20 min. and he still some in there. Anyway after that we headed to the airport and stopped at a mall on the way there. YEA! Overall it was a great vacation. We had a great time and saw some wonderful sights. The pictures no where near do it justice, you'll have to go to see for yourself. Thanks Mom for the wonderful vacation!!! We all really had a great time!!!
