An Afternoon Out

We have not been out and about in a while, so we decided to go out and take a drive. The kids really wanted to go to the beach, but the weather was not allowing that. It is rainy season and boy has it been raining. Anyway we traveled to the other side of the island (Windward side) to a place called Laie Point. It is kind of hidden at the back of a neighborhood, but I heard about it and had to check it out for myself. It was beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. Anyway we just thought it was so cool the way that hole formed in the rock. The kids had a great time climbing around. The cliffs made me a little nervous, but the kids were not scared. They wanted to swim, but the water was too rough. This area is facing the North Shore and in the winter the surf is too rough and too high to go swimming.
